PointFive raises $60 million to cut AI waste

PointFive, founded in 2023 by Israeli Unit 8200 veterans, raised a $60 million Series B led by Accel, bringing total funding to $96 million. The founders previously sold threat-intelligence company IntSights to Rapid7 for $350 million.

What changed

Its DeepWaste engine uses more than 500 AI-driven detection rules to find architectural inefficiencies, unused data warehouses and especially waste in AI inference. It does not stop at alerts: it can open GitHub pull requests, Jira tickets or Slack prompts to push remediation.

What to watch

CEO Alon Arvatz says enterprise AI spending is rising fivefold and has become one of the most unpredictable infrastructure cost problems. FinOps Foundation data shows companies actively managing AI-related costs rose from 63% a year ago to 98% in 2026.
