PwC and Anthropic have expanded their alliance, starting with training 30,000 US PwC employees on Claude. The goal is to bring Claude, Claude Code and Cowork into core client workflows rather than leave them as demos.
The headline numbers are aggressive: delivery times down as much as 70%, insurance underwriting moving from ten weeks to ten days, and security work moving from hours to minutes. PwC points to three fronts: AI-native software engineering, AI-assisted M&A work and redesign of finance, HR and supply-chain functions.
Advocate Health, with 167,000 employees, is an early proof point for organization-wide deployment. The larger question is whether consulting firms can turn AI from a presentation topic into audited productivity data. PwC’s language suggests clients now want measurable outcomes, not another agent announcement.
