Spotify co-CEO Gustav Söderström revealed that the company’s best engineers have not written any code since December, thanks to an internal AI system called Honk that integrates Claude into a structured development pipeline. The approach has accelerated deployment and enabled over 50 new features in 2025, shifting engineers’ focus from writing code to defining requirements and overseeing quality.
