Raja Koduri raises $35 million to build an Arm for AI chips

Oxmiq Labs wants to license OxCore, a GPU-style IP block that combines GPU, CPU and tensor engine pieces for custom AI silicon.

The Series A brings total funding to $60 million, with Fundomo leading and Samsung Catalyst Fund, MediaTek and Pegatron joining. Jim Keller is also on the board, but the hard part remains Nvidia’s CUDA moat and persuading chipmakers to build on another company’s architecture.
