OpenAI, Anthropic and DeepMind chiefs head to the G7 table

France plans a G7 working lunch in Évian-les-Bains with Sam Altman, Dario Amodei and Demis Hassabis at the same table. It is the first time OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind are expected to appear together in that forum.

The agenda is deliberately broad: advanced AI opportunities and risks, infrastructure pressure from data centers, youth safety and the governance posture of companies racing toward giant financing rounds or public listings.

The optics matter. These firms want to show they can sit inside the governance process just as investors price them for scale. The uncomfortable part is that the same executives asking to shape safety rules are also selling some of the largest AI growth stories in the market.
